Desert Stillness — a concept
An in-development concept for a five-day retreat shaped by the desert's silence and its narrow band of livable hours.
An ongoing concept study: what if the structure of a retreat was dictated entirely by when the desert is liveable? Mornings before the heat. Long, drawn-out evenings. The whole long middle of the day given to rest, deliberately, without apology.
The reference deck is built around three things: Bedouin hospitality traditions, mid-century desert architecture (the way it negotiates with sun rather than fights it), and the kind of unhurried plating you find in the best small restaurants in Kyoto.

We're carrying the concept forward with two potential hosts. If you're one of them, you already know.
